Tāmaki Makaurau Matariki Event

Te Hunga Rōia Māori o Aotearoa and the Asian Legal Network are collaborating on an event to celebrate Matariki in Tāmaki on Sunday 3 July 2022.

The event is a Matariki Morning Potluck at 5.30 am on 3 July at Ōwairaka (end of Summit Drive, Mt Albert). We plan to hīkoi to the summit, where we will have karakia, share whakaaro and see Matariki. Afterwards, we will journey to the YMCA Mt Albert Community Centre (773 New North Road, Mount Albert) at around 7 am. We will have a hākari there and whakawhanaungatanga with each other.
