Te Hunga Rōia Māori and Waitangi Tribunal Seminars

 

These two seminars will be jointly hosted by te Hunga Rōia Māori and the Waitangi Tribunal in Hamilton and will be open to all practicing Members and Non-Members.  Save the date now!  Registration details to follow.

Part One – Practice & Procedure

Friday 28 October 2022 – Kirikiriroa

A full day workshop on best practice for the Waitangi Tribunal.  The session will cover all stages of an inquiry process, and each session will be jointly hosted by Judges and senior practitioners.

Part Two – Tikanga & Te Reo

Friday 26 May 2023 – Te Whanganui-ā-Tara

A full day workshop on the use of tikanga and te reo Māori in litigation.  While some focus will be given to the Waitangi Tribunal, issues associated with tikanga and te reo in the Māori Land Court and other Courts will also be covered.
